My name is Jessica and I am the face behind Laurie's Leashes. I have been around animals my entire life and was raised with the mindset that pets are a member of the family (our fur babies). That they need the same love, care, attention. and patience that any human would need.
A little about me: I have an educational background in criminal justice and a working background in human resources. I also worked at an animal hospital for a time. It was there that my love and passion for animals flourished. I began my pet service journey on the standard apps to make some extra money, but it quickly became my passion. I knew then and there that I wanted to spend my days caring for animals. It is my personal mission to make a connection with each and every animal under my care. I want to be someone that your pet is able to find comfort in and you are able to trust. That way you can rest easy knowing that they are being well taken care of while you're away.

These are my fur babies!! As you can see they are absolutely attached at the hip. They are my world and my inspiration to share the love I have for them with others. Dani keeps my fetch skills up to par (she is obsessed). She also keeps me mindful when it comes to medication. She has epilepsy and takes medication twice a day. Meanwhile, K

She stepped up to help raise me after my dad passed away. She played a huge hand in shaping who I am today. When I lost her in 2017 to cancer, it was devastating. It made me question everyth
I would like to introduce you to the woman who inspired the name "Laurie's Leashes", my Aunt. Laurie was one of the most important people in my life. She stepped up to help raise me after my dad passed away. She played a huge hand in shaping who I am today. When I lost her in 2017 to cancer, it was devastating. It made me question everything, and at times the pain of my broken heart was too much to bear.
I like to think that I would have gotten here eventually, but losing her set me on the path that I'm on today. In life, Laurie was a huge animal lover. Most recently she had two fur babies, whom she loved dearly. She loved to spend her time outside with them, watching as birds would stop by her bird feeder on their journeys to only they knew where. She spent her time in retirement volunteering for a local animal rescue. There she did everything from screening candidates interested in adoption, to working the front lines at adoption events. It is because of her love and dedication to so many that I chose to name my business after her.
